Forest Tapestry -Verdure Tapestry The Forest Tapestry is hand woven in Belgium. It is a part of the collection of tapestries like the Iris, Woody, Timberland, Underwood, Wooden hills, Woodland that are a part of a scene from the “Jagaloon Tapestry”. These tapestries are presently situated in the castle at Wawel, in Krakow, Poland. The King of Poland commissioned this tapestry. It was hand woven in Flanders. Being hand woven in the mid 16th century it has the typical characteristics of a medieval tapestry. Woven in Belgium from 82% cotton, 18% viscose, the material has a shiny quality, which adds to the beauty of the tapestry. It normally looks good in pairs.
